So this is it, my home, when I first saw it, I said, "what the hell is it? the Alamo?". Then I saw the interior and fell in love. My husband Chris asked me how I felt about it. I could see the fear in his eyes. House shopping hadn't been easy, I was really, annoyingly, picky. It was a huge relief to both of us when this one was 'perfect'.
We've been here a year and a half and things are just getting exciting, so I thought I'd start this blog to document my mistakes, frustration and despair.

Great blog! This is actually the first one that I've ever read. I can't wait to see more pictures and renovations. I think a street of all white houses is boring so I'm glad you decided to spice it up. Who cares what the neighbors think!
What a great looking house. I can just imagine the neighborhood. I envision a great restaurant nearby--possibly Indian...and maybe a theater, too. I especially like what you have done to the landscaping in the front walkup. This looks like a perfect house for more than one big dog :)
Ironically, we are going to be helping a couple this summer complete their landscaping...we may have to use what you have done as a guide. Keep up the good work. I only wish more young people--I assume you are a young people--would restore old homes with character. Here's for a summer that isn't 100 degrees.
