He's a Maniac...

...Maniac on the... ceiling?

I think Chris' desperation for this project to be over has peaked. Today after work he finished painting the ceiling:

And installed the sink flange:

And installed the disposer:
And now we have a functioning kitchen sink!
I accused Chris of beginning to enjoy home improvement projects, but he assured me that this is not the case. He is merely desperate to have a working kitchen again.

Until the missing light fixture parts and the new updated Hoosier cabinet come in, there's really nothing more that we can do. I have some organization projects planned for this weekend in the event that the parts don't arrive. Maybe I could straighten up some other rooms of the house that have been neglected for too long... nah.

Oh, wow. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. Your ceiling. I thought it was neat before, but this is incredible!

Maybe I could talk DH into something like this since he's so keen on stainless appliances (I want old ones, by golly!).

I can't believe the amount of time it took (I would conveniently leave that part out! haha!) but it was so worth it in the end. Stunning.

p.s. Glad you liked that IKEA sink after all! ;)

Thanks so much! It was very convenient how I was out of town when it was time to paint :)

I really like the look of industrial stainless appliances in a period kitchen. We just don't have the room for a huge fridge and range. You could definitely make it work.

I owe you a BIG thank you for the Ikea idea. The two trips to Ikea were miserable, but totally worth it!
